Apple has just released their prices for unlocked iPhone 4S and based on that we have derived the prices they might cost in Pakistan
So from November when iPhone 4S unlocked will be released , the prices in Pakistani Rupee will be ( FX Rate $1= PKR 90)
iPhone 4S 16 GB – PKR – 58410
iPhone 4S 32 GB – PKR – 67410
iPhone 4S 64 GB – PKR – 76410
Add average 8% Sales Tax the buyer has to pay in US
so prices are now – 63,000 , 72800, 82500 respectively.
Add atleast 15 % margin for importer including transport costs so the market price should be
iPhone 4S 16 GB – PKR – 72,500
iPhone 4S 32 GB – PKR – 83,700
iPhone 4S 64 GB – PKR – 87,900
This speculation is based upon that exchange rates remain stagnant . Price may get lower as some dealers may get a better price for refurbished and ‘alternately acquired ‘ sets or reduction in cost with bulk import.
