Nokia X3 is the first in line along with X6 in the Nokia’s latest line of Music and Lifestyle centric models , costing Rs 13,000 in Pakistan we had a chance to unbox it and use for a little time , for those thinking about getting one , we recommend reading the whole review before taking the final decision
The Box :
Nokia X3’s box is the typical run of the mill Nokia box , same flap opening , phone pic in the front , phone details at the back and despite Nokia’s claims on recycle a couple of extra and useless boxes inside . The only difference in X3 box from others is this time Nokia hasn’t glazed the outer side with varnish coating instead it feels dull and dry to hold. As our phone is made in Hungary and meant for the MENA market , the languages used for phone USP were English , French , Arabic , Farsi and Urdu with one language marked PT.
The salient features of the phone as mentioned are
2.2 inches QVGA 240 x 320 pixel screen
- Builtin FM Anteena
- 3.5 mm AV Conenctor
- USB 2.1
- GSM QB ( Quad band )
- GPRS/ EDGE
- 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera
Nokia X3 Inside The Box
Opening the flap reveals the phone in it’s separate open top box , which is to be removed to have access to the accessories below . Nokia started a good tradition with 6300 , 6500 and even N86 to have a preformed recycled pulp containers which used to hold the phone and accessories , this boxes in the box concept , nothing more than utter waste of resources and negates Nokia’s claims of We Recycle .
The accessories provided include
- WH 102 headset with no Music or volume keys buttons but decent in ear buds
- BL-4CT 860 mAH battery
- Micro USB Connectivity Cable
- Nokia Mini Pin – 3 Prong UK Charger ( we need an adapter to use it in Pakistan )
- In booklets – X3 Guide , Warranty Card and SIM and back panel removing instruction book
